Choosing Bathroom Vanaties

One of the most important components of a bathroom is a vanity. A vanity is a piece of furniture that combines a sink, countertop, and mirror. Some modern vanities are complete with lights, architectural styling details, and built-in shelves. While most people think of vanities as an ugly fixture in the bathroom, they can actually be very stylish and functional. Historically, vanity tables were housed in the bed chambers, where they could easily wash their hands and face at night.

Modern plumbing has retained the basic shape of the vanity table, but moved it to a separate bathroom. Standard vanaties fall between 32 inches and 36 inches, so that they can accommodate most people’s height. However, many people still prefer to have their bathroom vanity at a higher level so that they don’t have to bend over. For those on a budget, there are cheaper options made of Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF), which is usually covered in a waterproof laminate.

Modern bathrooms feature more compact bathroom layouts, which makes them ideal for smaller spaces. Choosing a corner vanity can help you take advantage of space and add a stylish touch to your bathroom. In addition to vanities, you may also want to look at wooden vanities, which give your bathroom a more natural feel. Wooden vanaties, however, can be expensive. To avoid warping issues in humid areas, consider getting a vanity that has a protective layer.
